Bodyscapes
“Israeli artist Ronit Bigal meticulously presents excerpts from sacred Biblical texts on the human body in her Body Scripture IIseries. Like Allan Teger’s Bodyscapes, Bigal gets in close to the contours of the human form, re-imagining the body as an abstract landscape. On the grooved, fleshy expanse, the artist systematically applies black Indian ink calligraphy in Hebrew that reveals passages of scripture.”
beautiful
I know this won’t make a difference to many people but I had to say it. My make something cool every day project is going to have to be put it on hold, but only for this week I promise! I am in the middle of a really intense project that requires a lot of planning and most of my time. I will be posting photos of the project when it’s finished, so stay tuned! It’s going to be lovely!

Inspired by Worthington Libraries: Blind Date with a Book!
We started with ~40 books. Two hours later, all but four had found homes with library patrons (sorry, Flush, Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, Persepolis, and The ThingsThey Carried, they don’t know what they’re missing).
Now, to send forth a new fleet of exciting books into student arms. Whew!
